About this policy

This privacy policy applies to the campuslog mobile application, developed by Ritabrata Biswas (Devstudioo). This service is provided "AS IS". By using the application, you agree to the data practices described in this policy.

photo_camera

Camera permission

The app requests camera access exclusively for scanning RFID and QR codes to record student attendance. The camera is only activated during an active scan session.

check_circle No images, photographs, or video are ever captured, stored, transmitted, or shared.

notifications

Push notifications

Firebase Cloud Messaging is used to send push notifications related to attendance records and incoming chat messages. Notifications are integral to core functionality.

You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings without affecting other app functionality.

lock

Chat system & encryption

campuslog includes an in-app messaging system for communication within the school. All chat messages are encrypted in transit and at rest to protect user privacy.

Messages are stored on our servers to enable conversation history and are retained for the duration of the user's account activity.

group Chat data is accessible only to authenticated and authorized users within the school system and is never shared with or accessible by any third parties.

Opt-out rights

You may stop all data collection by uninstalling the app using the standard uninstall process on your device or via the Google Play Store.

Data retention & deletion

User data — including chat messages — is retained for as long as the account is active, and for a reasonable period thereafter. To request deletion of your personal data, contact us at work.dev.rik@gmail.com. All deletion requests will be fulfilled within a reasonable timeframe.

Student & children's privacy

campuslog is designed for use by students of all ages within a school environment. The application is a closed, school-managed system — access is granted exclusively by the school institution. No student can self-register or access the app independently.

Because the app serves students of all ages including those under 13, the following applies:

Student data is collected under the authority and oversight of the school institution
The school acts as the data controller and is responsible for obtaining any necessary consents from parents or guardians
No student outside the enrolled school system can access or enter the app
Personal data of students is used solely for attendance tracking and in-school communication
Student data is never used for advertising profiling or shared with third parties outside of the services listed in this policy

lock Only school-authorized accounts can log in. There is no public sign-up. All user accounts are provisioned and managed by the school.

Security

We implement physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information we process. All in-app communications — including chat — are encrypted to preserve the confidentiality and integrity of user data.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be revised periodically. Updates will be reflected on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the application following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
